The Festive aura is an aura that was released on 1 December 2012[1] that will feature a 50% experience boost and a wintery cosmetic effect. The "festive bonus" experience effect can remain activated 30 minutes at a time with a usage limit of once per day during the month of December, after which it becomes just a cosmetic aura. Note: With any aura, once activated if you remove it before the time expires you lose the rest of the time. The bonus exp has a maximum cap; after the player gains approximately 50k bonus exp, it will stop giving bonus experience. Every day, the 50k experience cap is reset. Lobby message
The aura was revealed first through a lobby message, confirmed in forums, and after the news post, concept artwork from the RuneScape Facebook page was posted.
This will be announced officially tomorrow, but it will indeed work like other Auras, with a 30 minute duration which can be used once per day. It will also have a cool wintery cosmetic special effect too!

Trivia
- Something which looks like snow falls from the glowing sphere on your hands.
