The araxyte egg is an item dropped by Araxxi that can be used to unlock the miniature-boss pets Barry and Mallory. The egg can only be received by those who already have all 6 araxyte pets. The first egg used will unlock Barry, and the second egg, Mallory.
When receiving this drop, it will appear in the local news feed. In order to unlock the pet, the player must inspect the egg resulting in text saying you have unlocked the respective pet.
As with most boss pet items, the Araxyte egg follows the drop threshold system; it has a base drop rate of 1/500 and a threshold of 200.
