Interestingly, RuneScape does not feature horses either, except in the form of a toy horsey (though a unicorn is similar). Thus, the origin of the inn's name is perhaps something of an enigma. It is possible that horses in RuneScape are a mythical legend, like unicorns in real life.

Also, it might be an example of Jagex's sense of humour, because, while many players have asked for horses, Jagex has only given Toy Horses for April Fool's Day.

The Flying Horse Inn is a bar found in the north-western parts of East Ardougne. The barman sells beer to thirsty adventurers for two coins per pint, and there are several small rooms to rest in upstairs (though these are non-functional).

The Flying Horse Inn contains several other features that attract players. It is possible to enter the Rat Pits here, where players can bet on their kitten as it tries to capture rats. The Flying Horse Inn is also used in the Bar Crawl, where players can purchase a Heart Stopper.

One of the Mahjarrat themselves, Lucien, is currently residing here, no doubt to further his plans to steal the Staff of Armadyl.

The name of the inn most likely refers to a horse running quickly, which would be said to be "flying", though not literally. An actual flying horse (with wings) would be a pegasus, but these do not exist in RuneScape.
