I just realised that this wiki is almost 10 years old. So, I was thinking it might be cool to celebrate it. For example, we could have a party in RuneScape (organised by the Events Team), a temporary wiki theme/logo change (like with the holidays), a mentioning of it on the front page, invite Merovingian to make a heartfelt speech (summoning him with a jar of 'crat cookies), and/or some other things (feel free to suggest). This is very much an open question asking for what you think would be fun to do, so please share any opinions and suggestions for things to do with the above proposals, as well as suggestions for other things to do, below.
I'm sure the Events Team will be able to come up with some good ideas for the wikifest, but it might be fun to bring back some classic wikifest events, such as cabbage bombing the GE.
I suggest this thread works like other theme-related threads, so please post links to theme/logo suggestions in the dedicated section.

- Based on Iiii's idea, how about we change the theme to Monobook with a monaco-ish feel to it, for one day? I could design the theme for it then. JOEYTJE50TALK pull my finger 13:50, January 27, 2015 (UTC)

Suggestion - Add A LOT of balloons, "10-year", things like that. Maybe a partyroom BG? User:Jr Mime/Signature 22:59, January 9, 2015 (UTC)
"For example, we could have a party in RuneScape (organised by the Events Team)" - we'd need an actual events team for that Oil4 Talk 00:37, January 10, 2015 (UTC)

Suggestions - Just a few basic in-game party suggestions ヽ(^◇^*)/
- Cabbage bombing as mentioned originally, also flower bombing
- Group picture? Fancy dress and such (perhaps a fancy dress competition also?)
- Conga line around... somewhere / everywhere
- Flash mob w/ music box if anyone had one
- Obvious one is Falador party room (drop party)
- Make use of the citadel (assuming it's open to guests) - dance floor, the senate (for speeches perhaps lol)
- Citadel battlefield - if a rank wanted to create something like fun PvP, a maze, sports game etc...
- End with a minigame/hide and seek/gnomeball/cabbage facepunch bonanza
idk yeah just general confetti/balloons/fun stuff :) Star Talk 04:08, January 10, 2015 (UTC)
- I love the group picture and conga line ideas. Not crazy about using the Citadel. I feel like we should be out there among the community, not asking the community to come to us. -- Ms ZuZu Talk 23:01, February 24, 2015 (UTC)

Ok so... - What's the status on the ET? Is there anyone in it at all atm? And if not, is there anyone willing to help organising the event in-game? Also, what would be nice for a theme? we need moar feedback/ideas/suggestions/participationz JOEYTJE50TALK pull my finger 13:50, January 27, 2015 (UTC)
- Wookieepedia did a logo change, if nothing else we could do that for a month or so.
- It'd be nice to do a drop party of some description too, although I have no idea who's going to organise it. User:Cqm/Signature
- RE:Status of ET Inactive. I remember Gaz told me he was looking for new members though. However I don't know if we'll be able to count on them to create the event if we decide to have one. User:TyA/sig 21:51, February 16, 2015 (UTC)
Is there currently anyone who is member who would be willing to help organise a wiki party in april? If there's not a reasonable amount of people (around 4 or more) I guess the whole idea is off. So, please sign below if you're at all interested in helping organise it. This is just to get an idea of who would consider helping. If nobody signs below that at least makes clear that this idea won't happen. If you do sign, don't see it as a contract or anything; this is just to get a rough idea, so if you do sign it doesn't mean you'll be forced to help. JOEYTJE50TALK pull my finger 13:39, February 17, 2015 (UTC)
PS: if you know someone who might want to help who's in the CC for example, please ask him to read this. JOEYTJE50TALK pull my finger 13:39, February 17, 2015 (UTC)

- Maybe I'll donate some money for a drop party. Idk. MolMan 22:15, February 18, 2015 (UTC)
What time would be best? - I know everyone needs different timezones, but I think the most populated moment of the wiki people is around 20:00 UTC (for West Europe mainland it's 22:00 then, for West Merka it's 14:00h then; both when accounting for DST). Of course it will be a bad time for Eastern Aussieland (where it will be 7:00 in the morning at the time; but I have no idea how your DST works exactly, and it looks complicated, so it could as well be a couple hours different). If it'd be a lot later, the Europeans can't join. Of course, if there are more Aussies who want to party, we could also make this a US/AUS party instead of an EUR/US party. Or, alternatively, porque no los dos. wat think? JOEYTJE50TALK pull my finger 15:58, March 6, 2015 (UTC)
I am almost always on or available to get on. I'm in eastern Murica btw. So if we plan different timezone parties, I should be able to help with most or all of them. Kyoya Ootori 02:56, March 7, 2015 (UTC)
Notice - The 10 year anniversary is in 2 weeks, we should probs decide something. User:TyA/sig 12:45, March 25, 2015 (UTC)
- Might be a good idea. Who wants to organise? (Any ET members willing?) Star Talk 14:09, March 25, 2015 (UTC)
Support - This sounds fun to be honest. I'm glad I became semi-active before this event actually happened since I'd hate to miss it. If consensus is reached on this and the event is given the go-ahead, count me in! User:N7 Elite/Signature 21:46, March 26, 2015 (UTC)
Comment - A week to go and no solid plans - it's not looking hopeful. If we do anything that's not in-game, Wikia have volunteered to support is in anything we do, whether that's just simply spreading the word. User:Cqm/Signature
Sorry - I'm having a really busy time with my homework and tests, so I can't help the planning part. I can help out with some things on the event itself, but I'm just too busy to organise it. Is there anyone else excited enough to organise this? There are already a bunch of ideas in this thread, so all we need is someone who is willing to do the planning for the day itself. JOEYTJE50TALK pull my finger 14:11, April 1, 2015 (UTC)
In-game event proposal - Start off at G.E w39, cabbage bombing/flower bombing etc. Conga line to the party room, have a drop party (Events team funds?) and finish with maybe a group picture or a minigame (if this goes ahead/people want to). Again, if this goes ahead, a friends chat will need to be decided, unless the clan chat is fine. Saturday 11th would be a good date (despite not the actual anniversary day), as weekend and this Saturday would be too short notice. Time proposal of 10pm BST/9pm UTC/5pm Eastern/4pm Central/2pm Pacific/7am Sunday East Aus. Would be great if anyone was willing to help with this :) Star Talk 22:27, April 2, 2015 (UTC)
- Works for me. Wanna get a more formal page made? @Gaz#7521 22:28, April 2, 2015 (UTC)
- Should honestly just cancel, sadly. There's been minimal interest in this, and with 5 days left and still no plan, there likely won't be a significant turn out. The best bet we have is a large impromptu drop party, but that at point, attendance would be less about the wiki, and more about just trying to make money. We did this last time and had a huge turnout, but there was so much ungratefulness afterwards that I'm really turned off that idea. We've come a long way, and we should be proud of that, but, unfortunately, very few people seem genuinely interested in celebrating like this. I still think we should do something, but in game doesn't seem to be the way to go. Just change the wordmark to something colorful for a day. MolMan 00:14, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
- I made a pretty simple one here, and you can see it in action here. I'm open to any better suggestions for the text --Iiii I I I 07:13, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
- More colourful. Make is super flamboyant. MolMan 12:06, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
- Can any balloons or cake or something colourful be added on?
- In regards to Mol, I do agree with the points he's been making. This thread has been up for plenty of time - just under 2 months now - with a fair few commenting on it, yet very few actually trying to make it happen, or even just suggest ideas :( If anyone disagrees, or still likes the idea of the event going ahead, a proposal is above, just say something. Star Talk 09:05, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
- Actually, I've continued thinking... We can probably go with your idea, but with a smaller expected turnout. If we make it an intraclan event, we can probably make the event, and in time. 5 days is plenty of time to advertise to the entire clan. Instead of a drop party, we can enter everyone who came into the clan raffle (we'll have it drawn separately from the capping raffle). I've never seen anyone genuinely upset about losing the raffle, so even though attendance would be about the money, it wouldn't be a waste because everyone would still be happy (I hope). I'll be willing to donate 20M for now to boost the raffle funds so we can have large prizes, and maybe more winners. MolMan 12:32, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
- There's a large pool of ET money that can also be used. Think about how many prizes and how much they are each (and if we want to make them item prizes or just coins?). If its a simple raffle (everyone equally likely to win; one entry each), we can merely use a basic gdocs page to track entrants and use random.org's list randomiser to get results (give prizes to the first X entrants). @Gaz#7521 19:00, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
- I don't have access to viewing the ET offshore bank account ever since you banned me for no reason and then kick me in the face. But I digress. MolMan 19:07, April 3, 2015 (UTC)

- Sounds good, but not 100% sure how this will work out in actuality. Will it be like just cabbage/flower bombing/whatever else at G.E, and just announce the winners/give out prizes there, then end? Also, is this just for this weeks raffle entrants, or anyone who's ever entered from x weeks? Assuming a page will still need to be made, can you make up a table of prizes to go on it? Star Talk 19:17, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
- There's still the group minigame to do too. And the raffle would be for anyone who attended the event. Wouldn't require any capping. MolMan 19:18, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
- Ahh ok, cool. You guys have any preference for the minigame - Clan Wars/Castle Wars/Fist of Guthix/Trouble Brewing/Soul Wars? Star Talk 20:52, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
- IMO Fist of Guthix or Castle Wars would be the easiest to start. But there's no reason we can't do both if people wanted. MolMan 20:56, April 3, 2015 (UTC)
