Since April is less than a month away, we should probably start planning what we will do this year. Last year was a real success, in the most part due to Pharos, but unfortunately he is no longer with us (unless he is reading this in which case, come back!). Just post any suggestions below, such as ideas for the main page/theme, or even examples of possible changes we could make (preferably not letting the Gowers take over again).

You could add these scripts to the common.js, The rights script does what Forum:Profile Mastheads is basically proposing except it is used a tad bit different . The upload script puts the message "It would of been better, but I took an arrow to the knee." in the summary box when uploading files. That's all I have right now. Hair 13:33, March 7, 2012 (UTC)

Ideas:

Translate Nex to Latin (might take a while).
Cabbage field as wiki background and skin
Not Andrew Gower again...
Is it possible to automatically play this every time one loads the main page?
Invert colours of images of popular things (GWD generals, TzTok-Jad, Dionysius, Zanik, Pest Queen, Nomad, etc.)
Replace every comma on a certain page by a funny word
Featured image: Cabbage
Featured article: Cabbage

Ideas My main idea is to allow the cabal to take over the wiki, and make any decisions such as Requests for Rights (RfA, RfR etc), featured content (UOTM, FIMG etc), as well as deal with any Yew Grove discussions by themselves. We should also temporarily edit certain policies such as RS:NOT, RS:CONSENSUS, RS:SAOW etc to give prominence to the cabal's decisions. My other idea is to change the names of the user rights into either the memes we've made for them or something else:

bearcats (bureacrats)

adnubs (administrators)

custard (custodians)

logrollers (rollbackers)

chimp minders (chat moderators)

barred from the pub (bannedfromchat)

Also change the following messages regarding join/quit/kb from chat and blocks

Join - $ has entered the Monkey Bar (eg: Noob has entered the Monkey Bar)

Leave - $ has left the Monkey Bar (eg: Noob has left the Monkey Bar)

K/B - $ (talk) has been barred from the Monkey Bar [Barred list] (eg: Noob [User talk:Noob|Talk] has been barred from the Monkey Bar [RS:CBN|Barred list])

Block - [blocker] rubber chicken'd [blockee] etc etc (eg Liquidhelium rubber chicken'd Noob etc etc)

I initially was thinking something along the lines of "what the hell", when I read about allowing some unheard of group to act as administrators until I read the page you linked (PS, the secrecy group is failing). Noticing how it's basically just the same as our normal policies but with an obviously humorous tone, it's the best idea I've seen so far. Though, it would also likely fly right over the heads of anons, so wouldn't mind seeing something like a cabbage field background in addition. Hofmic Talk 00:24, March 9, 2012 (UTC)

Super exciting idea - How about instead of doing something to the homepage, we leave it and add the following message: "You may be expecting the homepage to change because it's April Fools day. Slow down! - There are already a million ideas here, and if everyone keeps posting these huge lists of ideas, we're never gonna get anything done! We need to (quickly) narrow it down so we have time to discuss them, decide which one we're doing, and get it all planned out before April 1. Time's a waistin'!
