Earlier, I requested for a custodian crown to be made, and then I made one myself but a couple of other users had also made one. Now we can't really decide which one to use so the community can choose.

Forget about a changing the logo type discussion, just give a support #.

Janitors was a former Wikia usergroup (similar in purpose to helpers). It was discontinued, but as far as I'm aware Wikia didn't say it'd never be recreated, so that may mean we can't use that name. I'm sure someone will know more about this than me and can confirm it in one way of the other.  @Gaz#7521 11:46, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Comment - I don't know why we have crowns but if we get a new one it should not be c because crat's have that and they have it cause b is used. Also make sure that it is uploaded to the wiki as a svg file. I don't like any of the current nomination because they shouldn't have c and should only be 1 letter. Meh - While I don't particularly care about crowns, I don't see a reason to oppose this, as long as they are only used in userboxes and st00f. My favourite one is 6th, and 1st is almost as good as that. The others all epic fail. bad_fetus^talk 15:32, October 4, 2010 (UTC)

Oppose - Enough crowns. If any symbol should be used, it should be either a broom or nothing as the name implies. The crowns don't need to be added to and why do people have an affinity for them might I ask? Comment - Can we please not turn this into a debate about the crowns? This is about selecting a crown for the new usergroup (which I don't plan to comment on in the near future), not whether or not we need the crowns at all. Any comments opposing on the basis that we should not have any crowns are irrelevant to the discussion, as that's not what we are debating. Cook, on the other hand, provided a reason as to why he wanted this group to be an exception; so the comment is not directed at him. Suggestion - As you might have seen i didnt spend very much time on it, but i suggest the idea of a purple crown instead of grey(very boring) and orange(same as bots' crown) I suggest: http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/9334/filerollbackcrown.png with a lot of improvements. Who cares? well, i don't really care, but i don't think it should be the same as a bot crown with a C. I think it is just because all other things have crowns too. And i also think there should be a "regular editor" crown, because All editors are equal(i know this isn't about weighing votes in discussion, but the essential is the same: regular editors deserve as much crown as "ranked" editors). I don't really care how it looks, as long as we can agree, and it doesn't look bad. The only thing I hope for is a neutral coloured crown, or anything like that, so there will be no "flash" to being in this usergroup. RandomUser: Hey look a crown! Oh wait... it's a boring crown. Nvm.

Proposal - First of all, be sure to give the group the largest one possible, and preferably the gold cuz it looks better than silver. And after that, amg, lets give all them a silver hilite! Heck, let's bold their usernames while we're at it! pls give me any other ideas you may have to lessen the equality of editors

You're forgetting the purpose for which both the crown and hilites exist. The crowns are supposed to allude to the crowns player moderators have in order to make an otherwise uninteresting userbox more interesting (and no, it should not be used excessively outside that context). I would go as far as to say such an image is better than most other options because player moderators have similar, non authoritative roles to administrators. Never the less, I would support a different image, which is why I use a shield on my userpage (it fits the role of admins that much better). The hilites exist as a visual clue that a user is in a certain usergroup, which can be helpful on occasion. If you see a user with a different coloured name and ending in "bot", a new user can assume that it's an automated system rather than a human being without any prior knowledge that we have these. If a user is looking for or questioning if a user is an administrator, the green name provides this visual clue. Would a user assume these two things make the administrator better than themselves? What reason do they have to? If, for whatever reason, a user does actually decide that administrators are "better" than others (I've never observed this), how difficult will it be to set them straight? The benefits outweigh what I see as potentially nonexistent downsides. User:Stelercus/Signature 01:23, October 5, 2010 (UTC)
