For awhile now I've found it an (albeit tiny) annoyance to see what the requirements are the wear/wield a piece of equipment, or if it's degradable, as they are not always in the first paragraph. In an attempt to make these more noticeable without taking up more space, I tried making a (tiny) infotable that would be located at the top-left of the page, right under the detailed image of the piece of equipment.
Template - Example
This may be more trouble than it's worth, but I feel it would make some of the more important information easily accessible from the moment the page loads. Other things could also be added to the template for case-by-case issues if needed. As this would be a noticeable change with lots of page edits, I figured I should ask first, encase I'm overlooking something, or people hate the change. Comments?

- Modifying "Infobox Bonuses"
As was mentioned below, creating a new template just for this is unnecessary. As suggested below, modified Infobow Bonuses is the best way to go. As such, I have made some additional examples (Examples included below the template in the "documentation"):
- User:Fewfre/Infobox Bonuses test - The requirements line extend above the image to allow space for multiple requirements, as if you had 2 it looks a little sloppy as the skill may go to the next line while the number stays on the line above.
- User:Fewfre/Infobox Bonuses test2 - I'm not really sure what to do with the "degrades" parameter with this one, but now everything fits comfortably into the normal "info" part of the template.
Comments / suggestions welcome. Or if someone else has a good idea of how to implement this, that would be great ;)

Discussion
Oppose a new template - Required level as a parameter is something I've considered myself a couple of times, but I've admittedly thought about it very little; however, I'm really against this new template. Two big reasons: having two templates to line either side of an article just looks kind of bad, even if it is a short one. Actually, I believe any template on the top left is a bad idea. It's odd and aesthetically displeasing. The other thing is the segregation of information. I think this sort of information would be best suited with all the other equipment information: infobox bonuses. Honestly, I think it's more practical for both us and our readers if the information goes there if you want it templated. Extending the infobox you brought up is something I would doubt ever be needed. I'm saying this to weaken any reason to oppose my suggestion. There's only so much information that is applicable enough to warrant a parameter, and I think we're nearing all of it. These may even be the last two. Nothing wrong with your idea in essence, I just really don't think they need an entirely new infobox. MolMan 01:30, December 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Fair enough; I agree the template is not very aesthetically pleasing. If you think it "fits" with the Infobox bonuses template, that's fine by me. And thanks for the honest constructive criticism, I always appreciate that.

- It shouldn't be hard at all for you to fit those 2 parameters in there. MolMan 02:14, December 9, 2013 (UTC)
- I meant fit more along the lines of "belongs". I felt that template was mostly reserved for stats (although it is the most logical one to modify).

Interesting idea. If we're to do something like this, I'd prefer it be located in the existing {{Infobox Bonuses}}
rather than a standalone tiny template. We had something like this in the original bonuses infobox during the Evolution of Combat beta, although we removed it for a reason that currently escapes me. ʞooɔ 01:31, December 9, 2013 (UTC)
- One reason might have been to avoid duplicating info already on the page (which could potentially still be a concern).

- Maybe the infobox on the side will be more visible? Could put them under destroy, as it's talking about the item. User:Jr Mime/Signature 02:03, December 9, 2013 (UTC)
- Are you talking about putting these on infobox item? That template is already pretty full. I'd rather have all the information about using a piece of equipment in the same place. MolMan 02:14, December 9, 2013 (UTC)

Oppose Put it on bonuses, like Cook says. At the top would be best, imo. AnselaJonla 02:18, December 9, 2013 (UTC)
Parameter - Your example uses multiple parameters for the requirements, but can I strongly urge you to include just 1 parameter for requirement in the (I assume it will end up happening) inclusion in Infobox Bonuses. It will be particularly easier to manage. MolMan 15:16, December 11, 2013 (UTC)
- Of course; I mostly did multiple parameters so line breaks wouldn't be an issue (which wouldn't be done anyways on Infobox Bonuses).

I much prefer the second one. Not only does extending above the image look weird, but not every piece of equipment (arrows, rings, pocket) has an image. MolMan 00:25, December 12, 2013 (UTC)
closed - following the suggestions above, I have modified Template:Infobox Bonuses, and added two new fields: requirements and degrades. I chose to go with my 2nd example.
