Ok....*deep breath*

Now these are just the things that annoy me. I know hat everyone has days when they can't spell properly, and only about 60% of us know anything about correct grammar, but this is just going too far. The state of this Wiki is appalling. I vote to nominate all pages for immediate cleanup. Spell check at the least. Use Microsoft Word if you have to (please don't; it's a last resort here). Only thing is, we have to agree on what dictionary to use: UK, US or Australian English?

Also, we need to get all those redlinks fixed.

Honestly people, if you had enough pride in the game to make a Wikia for it, at least make sure it looks decent.

Oh and by the by, anyone up for a new logo competition, or is everyone ok with the current logo? --Zoetrope BRK 19:05, 7 August 2006 (UTC)

This from a guy who has made a total of 1 contributions thus far. Shadowdancer 19:15, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Could you list the pages with spelling errors? I think you're slightly exaggerating...--Richard 19:18, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Quite a few actually, although on most of the pages I've viewed, they're mainly place name misspellings, which everyone does at least once, but it can't be that hard to check the pages every so often. I'm working on a lsit of pages with spelling errors right now. Oh and by the by, I'm a girl, not a guy. --Zoetrope BRK 19:26, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
How strange; your contribution log shows a total of four - two here, and two on your user talk page. But whatever you say.Shadowdancer 21:25, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
I like the idea and will do whatever I can to help clean the Wiki up. We need to decide on what dictionary to use as soon as possible. In my opinion we should use the one that JaGEx uses. Can someone please E-mail JaGEx and find out which one this is? If we don't want that one we need a page for votes on which one to use. If we decide on one then I think we should also add a page link on this Wiki for it. Megalodon99 19:42, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
How can you possibly now know what spelling Jagex use? Don't you play RuneScape? It's UK english, since it's an English company. 82.6.71.98 20:49, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
British company = British spelling. Canadian spelling is almost exactly the same, so what I type is similar. It's pretty much add 'our' where 'or' is, and other things I can't remember.--Richard 20:55, 7 August 2006 (UTC)
Favour instead of favor, for example. Oddlyoko 02:25, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Yes, British English spellings please. U in color and i in aluminum. I have a bit of a blind spot when it comes to certain words but otherwise my spelling is reasonable. --Eucarya 07:16, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
OK, so we're using the UK English dictionary. I've added to the talk page of the articles so far that need a spellcheck, and I've fixed the Pirate's Treasure Quest article. Are there any cleanup tags we can use? --Zoetrope BRK 15:01, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
Er, I guess {{cleanup}? By the way, no-one I know knows how to get a spellchecker to use UK english settings. Even if you change the dictionary to English (UK), it will still use American spellings. 82.6.71.98 15:59, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
It's real simple. Replace color with colour, favor with favour, and so on... Shadowdancer 16:24, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
And center with centre, liter with litre... Dtm142 01:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
I am British myself, so obviously I use British spelling, but I have the Google toolbar, which includes a spell checker as one of its features, which checks the spelling of what you write in text forms. I have tested this and it seems to use British English. As my user page says, I go through random pages checking the spelling, but I agree, people make tyopgraphical mistakes sometimes, especially if they type quickly like myself.
