Forums: Yew Grove > Gods' military information

Since Mod Jack released this document I have been wondering if there is a better way to handle the information. Currently, we have two pages called Saradomin's Battle Tactics and Zamorak's Battle Tactics and pages for all the individual troops, as listed in this navbox ({{Second and Third Age Army Composition}}). This seems at odds with how we normally do things: most of the troops' pages are stubs that can't be expanded and they make little sense in isolation; the page name of "x’s battle tactics" is not a term that appears in game or in the document.

I am not good with lore but I have given this some thought and I think that a good solution would be to move the battle tactics pages to either sections on or subpages of their respective god’s pages; i.e. Saradomin/Military for Saradomin's Battle Tactics. This is more consistent with how we usually organise pages and allows the information to be linked to a relevant, more prominent page (the associated god's page). The pages can be organised by age as they are now, which would make sense for integrating them with other pages e.g. pages about battles in particular ages could link to the section on the god's military tactics in that age. I do not think that it is necessary to have pages about each rank; it makes much more sense for this information to all be on one page, with terms redirecting back to that page. The same standardisation should be applied for other military information i.e. RuneScape:Requests for merging/Second Age Zarosian ranks or any information that is released in future.

Support - We're either making a bunch of stubs that are likely to never be expanded in the future, or creating a good new standard for page information. I'd rather do what has been proposed here than make a bunch of useless pages. Just stick redirects on them and I'm happy! Amascut symbol Amascut Ia Morte 17:35, March 16, 2018 (UTC)
