So, with the release of Wisps of the Grove, I noticed the D&D was using the "safe activity" header. Which, this is technically true because participating isn't likely to kill you. However, it also seems misleading because if you manage to die, for example to a slayer mob in the grove, it isn't going to be a safe death. Yet, using the dangerous activity header also feels misleading because, well, you shouldn't die playing the activity. I would like to propose an alternative to Template:Dangerous and Template:Safe, something like a "Cautious" activity. Perhaps it would look something like this (alongside the other two, current, headers for comparison):

Redskull
This is a dangerous activity.
If you die, you will lose your items and will need to reclaim them from Death or your grave.
Danger sign
This is a generally safe activity, but use caution.
While this activity is not inherently dangerous, should you die by other means you will still lose your items and will need to reclaim them from Death or your grave.
Bandages (Fist of Guthix)
This is a safe activity.
If you die, you will not lose any of your items.

Obviously we can change wording/color scheme/whatever we want, but I just thought I would throw this idea out there and see if anyone was open to discussion about it.

Discussion

Support, propose different wording - This is definitely one of the things that sort of irks me about the safe/dangerous minigame thing. "Safe minigame" can either mean "safe death" and "normal death although there isn't really anything here that can kill you."

However, I suggest that instead of using caution we word it somewhat differently:

Danger sign
Death during this activity is not safe.
While this activity is not inherently dangerous, should you die by other means you will still lose your items and will need to reclaim them from Death or your grave.

I think the description is fine as is. Superiosity the DragonriderQuick chat button: User:Superiosity/Signature chat 08:06, September 26, 2017 (UTC)

Support - Pretty sure this has been an issue before with Shifting Tombs, so would help. --User:KelseW/Signature 13:38, September 26, 2017 (UTC)

Support - Caution template would be useful for minigames or D&Ds which are safe but at the same time can't be, like Shifting Tombs after they added the Corrupted scarabs to them. Abyssal vine whip TonyBest100 Bandos chestplate 13:45, September 26, 2017 (UTC)

Comment - Just wanted to add that the new messagebox is currently using class "messagebox warn" with a style override for background and border color, so if this is something that we are looking at doing, we should probably throw a new class like "messagebox caution" in the style sheet (and maybe change the link colors to match the yellow scheme as it looks almost liek they are "red links" here). I picked the colors and icon arbitrarily, so if anyone has thoughts on those, I am open to suggestions. I also support fixing the typo in the description - I changed my own wording several times as I was posting this and it looks like I got stuck somewhere in between two revisions - sorry about that! (I fixed it in Superiosity's comment above to make sure everything still fits on one line).

Comment - Why not expand further? We should have something like {{Dead}} for dead minigames like Fist of Guthix, or {{Boring}} for super boring ones like Fishing Trawler. --LiquidTalk 21:11, September 26, 2017 (UTC)

Comment -
Harold Death Esquire
This activity is dead.
No one plays this anymore so good luck finding a game when it's not on Spotlight.
Yawn emote icon
This activity is boring.
If you play this, you will lose hours from your life and they cannot be reclaimed.

Completionist cape
This activity is required for a Cape of Distinction.
This usually means you gotta grind it a whole lot before you finish the requirement. Good luck.

Comment - Template Drafted As everyone seems to be supporting this, I don't anticipate a sudden outpouring of opposition, I went ahead and created this template at {{Template:Unsafe}}. Before it can go into usage, I will need an admin to create the class "messagebox unsafe" on the stylesheet. It can basically follow the same scheme as "messagebox warn", with the colors as follows: background-color: #ffee88; border-color: #997700; a:link,a:visited,a:hover,a:active: #997700; (Not sure if all the link colors need to be specified - probably just follow the other messagebox classes with this color scheme). For reference, here is the template used (albeit without the correct color scheme):

Danger sign
Death during this activity is not safe.
While this activity is not inherently dangerous, should you die by other means you will still lose your items and will need to reclaim them from Death or your grave.

If admins feel we need to wait longer before deciding to use this template or not, that's fine; otherwise, once the stylesheet is updated (and the template and doc double checked by closing admin please?) this can go into usage and we can close this discussion. User:Myles Prower/Signature 04:49, September 30, 2017 (UTC)

Closed - The template has already been created at {{Unsafe}} and can be used. I will ensure someone who knows how will edit the stylesheet. --LiquidTalk 12:19, October 3, 2017 (UTC)
