Ok so I came to this idea when an anonymous user added warnings on pet pages, saying that they "it will run away when its hunger reaches 100%". ([1] & [2])
I asked the user on his talk page if it wasn't common sense that they would run away when being very hungry. Then I went to check some random Pet pages and it doesn't say anything about a warning. Only on the main Pet page. Perhaps we should take this serious and add a warning to individual pet articles!
So I thought lets propose to add that to the infobox template.. But that was a infobox for NPC's. What do you all think about having an infobox for pets only? I made an example and it's here on the right. Adult chameleon (automatic) Anurin Talk · Sign! . 17:51, 10 June 2009 (UTC)

Looks good. All pets are members though right, so thats a bit redundant. And I would hope the warning can be hidden too as cats dont need to eat when grown up. --Gold ore Mercifull UK serv (Talk) 07:50, 11 June 2009 (UTC)
I like this, and not just because of the food warning. Looking at the Phoenix eggling article, for example, this userbox would be quite a bit more useful than the generic NPC userbox that it currently uses. --Beware the underrated. The "Members pet?" part should be removed as all pets are members only, and perhaps the warning should be a bit smaller? Maybe use a .svg image for the caution sign? Other than tht it looks good --— Enigma 15:09, 11 June 2009 (UTC)

I was thinking about the chocatrice when I came across the members or not table. But there's not even an infobox on that pets page, and most likely there won't be a F2P pet anytime soon. So yeah, maybe we can skip that part. And the caution sign is an .svg image already? I just took some random size. Vote in poll below about the size :P

Chocatrice is a bit of an anomaly, it wasnt a pet but then it wasnt really a summoned familiar. --Gold ore Mercifull UK serv (Talk) 12:40, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Support - -thumbs up- Make sure it says within the chocatrice article about it's free-to-play-ness, and allow the warning to be hideable for cats. Good job. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 15:01, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Support - Maybe we should add "All pets, except overgrown fully grown cats, will run away if their hunger level reaches 100%." for the warning. Obviously all the pets will run away when it reaches 100% hunger. With the explanation above, people doesn't have to scroll around the specific pet to see if it will run away or not. The explanation I gave should sum it all up. Santa hat Powers38 おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 15:09, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

You mean fullgrown, ofcourse those overgrown cats aren't getting hungry ever again hahaha Adult chameleon (automatic) Anurin Talk · Sign! . 15:26, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
I don't own a cyber cat, so I don't know when it does not need feeding. I've been thinking overgrown all this time. =S Santa hat Powers38 おはようヾ(´・ω・`) 15:31, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Hehe :P, I think it only needs food when it's a Kitten Adult chameleon (automatic) Anurin Talk · Sign! . 15:33, 12 June 2009 (UTC)

Request for closure

  • Removed members table per discussion.
  • Table gives food warning on default, unless |warning = no, then it says This pet does not need food to stay with you.
  • I'm replacing/adding templates to all pets. Adult chameleon (automatic) Anurin Talk · Sign! . 20:54, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Closed - Template:Infobox Pet has been created and is being implemented on the relevant pages. Weird gloop @Gaz#7521 19:48, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
