I see that several other wikis, such as Arm Chair, FFXIclopedia, and HaloPedia, have the point system. I think this would be a great addition to the wiki.
If you don't know what I mean. Maybe this image will ring a bell...

Anyway...I didn't know exactly how to put that paragraph together. So, Support or Oppose.
Oppose - This would encourage posts of zero value and no merit, similar to the first 3-10 pages on the RS forums where people simply post "woot" or other useless drivel. Skip counting and people will post things of greater value. --Degenret01 13:50, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - Encourages egos, probably disrupts All Editors are Equal and per Degenret's points --King Runite1 14:21, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Oppose per Degenret. User:C Teng/sig 14:54, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Oppose. This has been brought up several times and it is well known that these changes ruined Halopedia for the real editors. Dtm142 16:46, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - Yes I think this might encourage leetism, especially the level part. There are a lot of players in RS who make judgements about you based on your combat level and we don't want people making those same judgements based on a users wiki level. Tollerach hates SoF 17:53, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - As always. Christine 18:17, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - Per almost all of above. This would encourage editing that really isn't always benefiting the Wiki. =/ Jedi Talk HS Log Tracker 18:23, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - Per all. It may look like a good and fun addition at first, but edit whoring becomes (for those of you who don't know, edit whoring is editing a page with pointless edits or making one change over the course of many edits just to get your points or editcout up.) a problem. Not only that, but many new users will will do what is vandalism to gain a rank. Among that, people will say things like "Oh, you can't be a sysop yet! You need to be at least level 70 in the point system", or "well, ur a noob i'm lvl 100 and ur lvl 50". Also, many people will simply try to get their rank to be the same level as they are in-game so they don't be misrepresented by their WikiLevel (<-- new WikiAcronym?). Most of the users here are either mature editors or mature forumers. The point system tends to attract a lot more of the undesirables in the RuneScape community.
All in all, it's a plague that destoys any wiki that it touches. We don't want to be infected. Chiafriend12I have 12 friends. 18:44, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Oppose to the O - per Christine. Andrew talk 18:55, 21 March 2009 (UTC)
Oppose - As per above. Not needed.

Oppose - Since everyone have the same goal in creating a good wiki, why should we compete about it? I don't see the meaning or sense in this proposition. Wejer 13:22, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Closed - Once again, the community has rejected the point and rank system.--
