Following today's groundbreaking announcement by CEO of Fandom powered by Wikia Craig Palmer, I would like to propose the next step in the evolution of this incredible community-supported fansite: the rebranding of the RuneScape Wiki to RuneScape Wiki powered by Fandom powered by Wikia.
We want to enrich and grow the fan experience in ways that only being a fandom allows. Having one name — RuneScape Wiki powered by Fandom powered by Wikia — that best reflects the broad experience rather than just part of it, ties the whole site together under one powerful brand. And I feel that the term "RuneScape Wiki powered by Fandom powered by Wikia" best represents who we are: a comprehensive destination for players to celebrate what they love.
I have modified our current logo to incorporate this new wording:
By building greater brand awareness around RuneScape Wiki powered by Fandom powered by Wikia, we'll be even better positioned to bring our hard work out to RuneScape players and draw the attention of more editors to the wiki. Our competitors, including Tip.It, Rune HQ, and Sal's Realm, are already leveraging aggregate networks and pushing the envelope; we need to synergistically target leading-edge paradigms in order to stay ahead of the fansite ecosystem.
