Hi there

I have made this thread with interest regarding a somewhat new user in the clan chat by the name butterkity.

This user has been causing excess amounts of controversy over the last few days, with excessive amounts of spamming, elitism on other's achievements by quickchatting their higher levels whenever someone levels up a skill of similar nature, and excessive requests for high ranks, which shows that this user clearly has not paid attention to the rules. This user does not listen to any of the warnings bestowed upon them, as this behaviour has continued for many weeks now.

It is apparent that this level of disruption is beginning to annoy several users of the clan chat, and I have made this thread with intention of invoking a short ban on this user, or at least discussing what can be done to combat this.

Personally, I would like to see a short, temporary ban placed on the user, perhaps 2 weeks long, just as a stronger type of warning to let them know that we're now sick and tired of what is happening.

I will alert the user of this thread, in the case that would like to state their defence in what has happened.

Butter, you requested a rank even after being warned numerous times about that and other infractions, which suggests that you do not take into consideration your image in the eyes of other users. Comment - I tired of him continually spamming and being generally irritating. He begged and begged to join a dg group despite being told we are full. Initially he was told politely and then he was told to sod off, because he wouldn't stop begging, whinging and complaining while we were trying to enjoy Astra's Max cape achievement. Support - Butterkity quickchats his 99s even when it is not relevant whatsoever to the conversation and ignores people who ask him to stop. It seems the only thing he wants from this clan is ranks. Support - Butterkity has ignored repeated requests (from multiple members) to modify the behaviour that is annoying many people.  He is aware that his behaviour is not acceptable, but seems not to care.  While I understand that he is quite young, and socially inept, it would seem that a stronger statement is needed in order to encourage him to improve.  However, I suspect that his attention span is not great.  I suggest starting off with a 1 week block, followed by a 2 week block if the disruptive behaviour persists upon his return, followed by a month, if needed, and ultimately ending in a long-term ban should those measures prove ineffective. -- Ms ZuZu Jpaddon (talk) 02:08, February 3, 2013 (UTC)

Support: Butterkity excessively spams as people has already stated, failing to stop promptly when requested. I also screenshotted (him? her?) asking in what they thought was another clan chat if they could get to a high rank if they joined, followed by "wc" and "wrong chat". That's not the point. This screenshot simply highlights your focus on ranking above all else, making it clear that you are seeking a "trophy rank" as opposed to earning a rank through positive contributions and mature character. Support - Although I tend to err on the side of lenience, I feel butterkity has pushed the boundaries both of the rules and of what is socially acceptable behavior. Due to his lack of concern for others and extreme lack of maturity, I agree that stronger measures must be taken. In response to his post above, who the question was directed to is irrelevant. Comment - A major situation occured about 30 minutes ago in which User:-Stygmata- removed Butterkity from the clan with his reasoning centered around RS:SNOW and this thread. I'm not if this is the appropriate place to post this, however, I figured that is revolves around this whole situation, that this would be the best place to put this. I understand the action I took was poorly made, rushed, and too early since the thread's creation; this was due to my interpretation of RS:SNOW. I still support the two -week temp ban for butterkity, and I hope butter will mature and understand his actions if a consensus is reached, and if he is given this kick. Support short temp ban - Bawbling, spamming, straight up saying that they are better than everyone else, doing things continuously even after asked to stop. I lack evidence because I threw them on my ignore list, and I'm not going to undo that to prove my point unfortunately.
