Currently achievement pages for all achievements in-game are being added. Currently only achievements for the exploration category (previously known as the task sets, each task set is now a subcategory) and for the skill category are missing, the other categories and subcategories have all achievements that are in-game, which also includes both subcategories for the skills category, just not the category itself. Skill achievements are tricky for me, because the only I can currently see (because I have the max total level) is Friends with Max, as apparently achievements that are completed in the Skills category and those in the Boss Kills subcategory of the combat category are not shown anymore once completed even when the "hide completed" option is not ticked (which I already send a bug report for in-game). Which is also a reason I can't see Three Heads are Deader than One and Zilly Way To Die since I have more than 100 kill count in both, but I digress.

This is a general ask for help to get an article for each achievement that is still missing, e.g. Skills and Exploration ones (use existing ones as an example). Additionally I wanted to gauge the opinion for the below suggestions:

  1. How to handle the naming of the categories and subcategories. Should these remain subpages of achievements or should they get logical/readable names, like Completionist achievements instead of Achievements/Completionist?
  2. By extension of the above question should Varrock Tasks be renamed (to either Achievements/Exploration/Varrock or Varrock achievements)?
  3. Rework the above pages (e.g. Varrock Tasks, Ardougne Tasks) like I've done with New Varrock Tasks
    • A. Change it to New Varrock Tasks style (show the achievements through DPL which requires to have all achievement pages to exist).
    • B. In addition to A, also remove tips and such to (newly created) quick guides for those tasks, but keep the rewards.
    • C. Keep as is.

More as general notice, trivia should also be redistributed to their own achievement. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 13:37, December 21, 2017 (UTC)

Discussion

Support 1A/2A/3B - I think it's better to have names instead of subpages. Additionally rename the former task sets for consistency to <Location> achievements. It's also much cleaner to have an overview and a seperate quick guide, plus each achievement itself will also mention how to complete it with all tips and tricks on their individual articles. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 13:37, December 21, 2017 (UTC)

1A/2A/3B - I made the overviews subpages because that was easier at the time, but it is not exactly friendly to the end user. Please make pretty what I made messily. Fallen leaves ThePsionic Eek 13:50, December 21, 2017 (UTC)

I used your existing format since it made sense at that time, but now while looking at the former task sets, I think it needs to be more user friendly like you said. :) Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 13:53, December 21, 2017 (UTC)

Comment - To add to the above introduction: It appears achievements in the Skills category are of the format <skill> <level> for the levels 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, and 99. Meaning there are 12 achievements per skill in that category (12*27=324). Adding the 32 achievements from the Skill Pets subcategory and the 11 achievements from the Divination subcategory it brings the total to 367 (324+32+11). Adding Friends with Max to add brings the total to 368. In-game it shows that the Skills category has 369 achievements meaning we're missing one. Does anyone know what the missing achievement is? I think it might be an achievement for unlocking Invention, but I'm not sure. Also I've created 3 achievement pages so far for Farming, Agility, and Herblore. These pages contain all 12 achievements per skill on the same page as essentially the only difference is the level threshold. My additional new question is, should it be like this (12 achievements on one page à la tiered achievements (as they are essentially tiered achievements)) or should each tier get its own page? Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 05:23, December 26, 2017 (UTC)

Up side: Each achievement will have its own page, easier to count the total amounts of all achievements or per (sub)category.
Down side: Each achievement will have its own page, having several pages for the same achievement with only the tier being a difference. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 05:32, December 26, 2017 (UTC)

Support 1A/2A/3B - I really like the clean and compacted look of 3B. As for your new question in your above comment, I think the tiered achievements all on one page as you did for Farming, Agility and Herblore is just fine. Doesn't seem like there would be a need to have a separate page for each tier considering the RuneScore points earned remains the same for each tier. Support 1A/2A/3B - An achievement for unlocking invention is most likely the missing skill achievement, but I can't remember for sure. And I have one (partial) correction on the skill level chain, there is an achievement for getting 92 in each skill. I am not sure which of the chain you posted is incorrect, but I am guessing it's 15. Most seem to follow a general format (eg "Crafting 92 (Halfway There)") but some have a unique phrase (eg "(Living on a)Prayer 92"). I can confirm that crafting, herblore, runecrafting, summoning, thieving, woodcutting, cooking, fishing, fletching, and smithing follow the standard "halfway there" format. While at least prayer deviates.--Hydruin (talk) 14:46, December 27, 2017 (UTC)

92 makes sense, but I was pretty sure 15 was also a level in this chain, I'll check on my alt later today. Perhaps 92 is instead of 90? Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 14:50, December 27, 2017 (UTC)
90 is definitely one, as are 80 and 70 (70 Invention is my lowest so I can't confirm below that). Also for Slayer, Dungeoneering, and Invention the 92 achievement might be replaced with a 120 achievement.--Hydruin (talk) 15:00, December 27, 2017 (UTC)
I thought 99 was the maximum? But I can't check since the achievements are bugged as described in the intro. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 15:15, December 27, 2017 (UTC)
I checked on my alt, and it shows 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 (highest level is something the high 50s). Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 22:08, December 27, 2017 (UTC)
Ok so I created a new account to see for myself. Constitution starts at lvl 10, so there is no 5/10 achievement instead there is one for 15. All the other skills go 5, 10, 20...etc.
So Constitution is 15,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,92,99. While other skills are 5,10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,92,99. I don't see an achievement for unlocking invention, which means the total known skill achievements would be at 367/369 (because Constitution only has 11 tiers). The only guess I have about the missing achievements would be something to do with the 120 skills.--Hydruin (talk) 23:51, December 28, 2017 (UTC)
I totally forgot about Constitution starting at 10... >.< I still don't think 120s could be the unknown achievements, but I can't check since I already got 120 in Dungeoneering, Invention, and Slayer as those are the likely candidates because those go to non-virtual 120. Plus there are 3 skills that go to non-virtual 120, while there are currently only 2 achievements missing. So unless a J-Mod or another player can confirm all achievements, I guess we'll be missing 2 of them for the time being which isn't the end of the world. :P Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 08:42, December 29, 2017 (UTC)

Comment - I've made the Skills achievements pages based on the above info. Currently we're still missing 2 achievements for that category. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 11:20, December 29, 2017 (UTC)

@Hydruin, it appears you are correct, there are achievements for level 110, so presumably also for 120, which brings the total to 373 (4 achievements too many), I've tweeted Mod Stu, maybe he can tell us, what's wrong with this amount. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 11:53, December 29, 2017 (UTC)
This is the tweet to Mod Stu, to which he replied and confirmed that there are indeed achievements for levels 110 and 120 for Invention, Dungeoneering, and Slayer. According to his calculations there are 369 achievements, but he referred me to Mods Asherz and Doctor for more information to which Mod Asherz replied and confirmed that Mod Stu's calculations seem accurate, but that he will check once he's back in the office next year (I'll have to remind him though). He also said that the bug of the disappeared completed achievements is fixed and is going into the game with the next update. So if no one has anything to add, then I'll close this thread and implement the changes which don't have to wait on checking the Skills achievements as that is a seperate issue. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 22:21, December 29, 2017 (UTC)

Closed - The new achievements pages will be renamed to follow the more user friendly format (e.g. Completionist Cape achievements instead of Achievements/Completionist/Completionist Cape), former task set pages will also be renamed to that format, and the task set pages will also be reworked to the achievements format as discussed above (keeping their rewards section). Also tips will be moved to quick guides for those achievement subcategories (former task sets). Trivia will be moved to the individual achievement pages. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 13:36, January 2, 2018 (UTC)

Post-closure note - Mod Asherz has confirmed the following:

  • There are 370 achievements in the Skilling category (including the Divination and Skill Pets subcategories).
  • Currently Constitution 15 is not counted in the in-game counter, thus making it 369 in-game, while it's actually 370.
  • Constitution has 11 achievements (of which one (15) is currently bugged): 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 92, 99
  • Slayer, Invention, and Dungeoneering have 13 achievements: 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 99, 110, 120
  • All other skills have 12 achievements: 5, 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 92, 99

This concludes the mystery of the "missing" achievements. :) Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 14:27, January 2, 2018 (UTC)

Here's his confirmation. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 14:47, January 2, 2018 (UTC)
Addition from Mod Doctor: Invention also has an achievement for level 102 as that is halfway to 120. Salix of Prifddinas (Talk) 15:35, January 2, 2018 (UTC)
