To answer some of your questions, no, I am not coming back now or any time in the foreseeable future.

I withdrew my proposal to close the Post a few months ago, provided that those interested in keeping it alive actually keep it alive.

"This can't just be something where after the thread starts some people start to care about it, but after a week or two they lose interest. Unless you guys are ready to contribute long-term, we need to [close the post]." (I think this quote is from Cook. I wouldn't have worded it that way.)

Needless to say, this didn't happen. Thus, after consulting Jack and Cook, we decided that it's best to put the Wiki Post out of its misery. Some of you may be tempted to take the initiative to bring it back. Don't. While a single individual is capable of plenty of things, publishing a newspaper is not one of them, because nobody wants to read a series of articles and stories all written by the same person. There simply are not enough people here interested in submitting content, and I don't blame anyone for that.

I do, however, blame those who opposed closing the Post, when they themselves were not interested in submitting. The result of this is that the Post remained an unburied corpse longer than it needed to be.

R.I.P. then - Very well then, I understand your reasoning. But what about all the previous issues? 18px-Avatar.png Fswe1 26px-Brassica_Prime_symbol.svg.png 11:57, July 27, 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, Degen. User:Stelercus/Signature 23:52, July 27, 2011 (UTC)

Yes - And please don't suggest adding a notice to the main page to encourage submissions. It should be able to run without one, but it can't.  Tien  17:56, July 27, 2011 (UTC)

That wouldn't matter, nobody is around to receive them anymore. User:Stelercus/Signature 23:52, July 27, 2011 (UTC)

Time to put it down - per Steler. Andrew talk 23:49, July 27, 2011 (UTC)

What? Zamorak said, "May he Rest in Peace", but you said something I would expect from Google Translate like "The rest, her into peace". User:Stelercus/Signature 00:14, August 2, 2011 (UTC)
Its Latin for "Rest in Peace". I also used Google translate. Twig Talk 772kZGs.png 00:58, August 2, 2011 (UTC)

Erm, not really. "In peace" would be "in pace", as in+ablativus means "in". "In pacem" is accusativus, in which case in means "to". Also, "Requiem" is a noun. You shouldn't rely on google translate, it's quite rubbish. 18px-Avatar.png Fswe1 26px-Brassica_Prime_symbol.svg.png 11:11, August 2, 2011 (UTC)
"Its Latin for "Rest in Peace"." It most certainly is not. If it came from Google Translate, it's not Latin. User:Stelercus/Signature 18:01, August 2, 2011 (UTC)
We should take this to talk.... Though here is a link to the screen cap I got of what I put into Google Translate. Twig Talk 772kZGs.png 04:03, August 3, 2011 (UTC)
Oh, I believe you. It's just not true; Google is wrong. Fswe1 Talk Project MyFace [[File:Seren symbol.svg|26px]] 06:50, August 3, 2011 (UTC)

Ye frail mortals who gaze upon this sight, forget not the fate of the RuneScape Wiki Post, once mighty, now surrendered to the inescapable grasp of destiny. Requiescat in pace.

Closed - R.I.P. Wiki Post. It produced some excellent reads. Grammar nazis go away. 222 talk 06:56, August 5, 2011 (UTC)
