(Thank Bruxacosmica for posting this for me) I think that generally some articles get more attention than others and thus they don't get updated as much, what I'm proposing is to put all articles in their respective wikiprojects with class rating, like on wikipedia, This works very well on wikipedia, I don't see why we can't have it here, It's a good way to improve articles and thus we can organise all articles under their respective wikiprojects, for example Wikiproject Woodcutting would have things like axes and trees in them, and articles depending on their quality are given ratings like A or B classes. I know some think that This is probrably unnecessary, But in my prespective This is extremely useful for the wiki. I'd like to here your ideas.

Questions - I'm still unclear how this would work. What is the purpose of separating articles out into different projects? What does the ranking system mean? How would ranking help improve the quality of articles? Can you show us where this is used in another wiki (or Wikipedia) to give us a better idea of how this would work? This sounds like it could be helpful, but I'd like to hear more about it. Thanks,

Neutral - I have used this on Wikipedia and love the idea. It is very helpful and I might go around checking for lower ranked articles and upgrade them. But, I always thought our system was the "WikiGuilds". The WikiGuilds are groups of users who work together and commune to work on one area or category of articles. So, isn't the Wikiproject idea very similar? Maybe it'd be worth either expanding the WikiGuild idea to cover all articles and implement the ranking system. Support... as Wikiguilds - I wouldn't mind a series of wikiguilds being set up in terms of skill-specific areas of focus. For example, a Smithing wikiguild could concentrate on the articles about ores, bars, and mines. The problem here is simply wondering if we could get enough participants in doing this for an individual wikiguild. Keep in mind that the Wikipedia ranking system, while it does list importance of the article in terms of its relevance to the Wikiproject, also includes a grading scale in terms of the quality of the article. As part of a comprehensive overhaul of the articles of the month, this could also be useful, where articles that are pretty good but of lesser quality could also be noted as useful and perhaps needing that final touch to put it over the top. --Robert Horning 03:42, October 3, 2009 (UTC)

Comment - My support still stands, but what if we did a "trial run" with a small section of the Wiki, like just a single skill, or even a single town? - Why don't wee start with a basic kind already mentioned above: The Woodcutting skill? We already have a shop improvement Wikiguild that does essentially this same task that is also focused on a specific part of the game. Perhaps within the scope of that particular wikiguild we could also try out some sort of article assessment to mark each one of the shop articles with a grade in regards to quality? I'm just trying to offer some suggestions on where to start, but I do think this is a good overall concept that should be encouraged, even if it seems like a never ending task and a bit more for one person to chew at once. --Robert Horning 16:01, October 5, 2009 (UTC)

Support - It sounds like, if done correctly with some TLC, this could be a good way to get articles to an even higher standard then we do today.

Discussion closed - Consensus is to support this concept and encourage players to come together and make projects to help improve the wiki. Nothing specific was really decided upon in terms of how these projects should be put together. RuneScape:WikiGuild is at least a place where projects of this nature have been created before. --Robert Horning 19:33, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
