Fragile mining urn detail

A fragile mining urn can be created at 17 Crafting, and is used with the Mining skill to help with gaining experience. Two pieces of soft clay must be used on a potter's wheel. Then, the fragile mining urn (unf) must be fired to create a fragile mining urn (nr). It must then be bound with an earth rune, allowing it to be filled, and teleported when full. The urn is filled when the player has earned 1,000 Mining xp with the urn in inventory. Once the fragile mining urn is full, it becomes a fragile mining urn (full) and can be teleported to Ernie for 200 Mining experience.

Mining a shooting star does not fill the urn. If mining multiple ores at once, using either Varrock armour or the reward effect of a shooting star, the urn only fills with xp from the first ore. The second one to the last does not count.

When a higher level mining urn is present in a player's inventory, a fragile mining urn will take priority in filling, meaning that any level 20 or lower ore that is mined will fill the fragile urn rather than the higher tiered urn. However, any ore requiring higher than 20 mining will fill the higher urn. This lower tier priority also applies to cracked, plain, and strong mining urns.
