The attack speed of each weapon is represented by categories:

Prayer

Prayer activation and deactivation is applied on the next game tick. The drain rate of each prayer is measured by a number of ticks. For a detailed breakdown, see Prayer#Prayers. For a calculator, see Calculator:Prayer/Drain rate.

  • Burying bones: 1 per bone
  • Scattering ashes: 1 per ash; though you can bury a bone and scatter an ash in the same tick
  • Cremating bones: 4 per bone; this can be reduced to 3 per item by restarting the animation
  • Ectofuntus: 1 per Bonemeal; 1 per Bucket of slime
  • Using bones on a Gilded altar: 3 per bone

  • Cooking raw fish: 4 per item; this can be reduced to 3 per item if the cooking interface is opening directly after a previous cooking attempt finishes.

  • Adding logs to a bonfire: 6 per item; this can be reduced to 5 per item by restarting the animation
  • Lighting a fire: 4 per item
  • Lighting a fire via a Pyrelord: 5 per item

  • Siphoning a node or creature in the Runespan: 2 per siphon
  • Using unstable essence at an altar: 1 per sets of ten essence
  • Making tiaras at an altar: 1 per tiara

  • Players have a chance to obtain a log from any type of tree every 4 ticks.

  • After completing a dungeoneering floor, the "winterface" is displayed, and a timer begins to count down from 30. These are thirty 2 tick periods; 60 ticks.

  • Running covers 2 game squares per tick, while walking covers 1 game square per tick.
  • The amount of time a player can spend collecting tears in the Tears of Guthix D&D is a number of game ticks equal to the player's quest points.
  • Boosted or reduced stats move towards normal at a rate of 1 level per 100 ticks.
  • Player chat messages stay above their heads for 5 ticks. If a second message is sent while a previous message is being displayed, the new message will replace the first message, lasting 5 ticks itself unless another message is sent.
  • The 40 minutes of Familiarisation's triple charms reward is believed to actually last 40.5–41.5 minutes, suggesting it is programmed as 4000 ticks rather than 40 actual minutes.
  • When playing Fist of Guthix, the person being hunted collects charges every 5 ticks when holding the stone.
