Gissel mushroom detail

Gissel mushrooms are obtained while Dungeoneering. They heal 30 life points each, and cannot be cooked. A strategy is if food the whole party's food supply is out is if one player or more has 900 coins or more (preferably 1800 coins minimum) buys 1 or more Gissel mushroom spore(s) from a Smuggler and plants them in a Farming spot, then gives each party member one or more (depending on the size of the party) Gissel mushrooms, they then eat those as food. This is also useful for bosses.

Gissel mushrooms cannot be combined with fish, as cave potatoes can, although they can be combined with fish and cave potatoes.

Growing

Gissel mushrooms need 34 Farming to grow. They don't need any watering or being cared for like all Dungeoneering plants, so just plant them in the 'patch' and wait. They take about a minute to be ready to harvest.

Trivia

For some reason, the animation of a fully-grown box of Gissel Mushrooms has changed places with Edicap mushrooms. This change occurred on 9 July 2010. Though the seeds and the final produce are brown, the grown Gissels in the box are gray. The same with Edicaps, their seeds and fruit are grey, but in the box they are brown.

"Gissel" means "scourge" or "whip" in Swedish.
