Golden tools were an item released with the Port Sarim Invasion. They were used to take part in Boat to the Arc event in Port Sarim, giving 25 times the experience and event progress compared to the basic tools.

For the duration of the activity, players could win these tools through Treasure Hunter in sets of 1, 2 and 4.

Skilling in the event requires either basic or golden tools. One set of tools lasts for five skilling actions after which it is destroyed. When you use the tools, Tokens are added to your inventory.

Golden tools can be used to teleport to the boat construction site and to view the event progress. They can also be worn in the pocket slot.

If a player has both basic tools and golden tools in their possession, the golden tools will always be used first, even if the basic tools are equipped.
