Graphical updates are updates to non-player characters, monsters, areas, items, interfaces, etc. A notable graphic improvement update is the release of RuneScape High Detail, which took place on 1 July 2008. Many smaller graphical updates on RuneScape also exist. For example, NPCs or monsters featured in a newly released quest may receive visual improvements. Jagex also frequently releases Animation Packs, in which various items and animations receive updates.
