Guthix armour sets (lg) are made by exchanging a Guthix full helm, Guthix platebody, Guthix platelegs, and Guthix kiteshield with a Grand Exchange clerk. The set is purely to save space in a player's inventory or bank, and for use in trading. The Guthix set is the third most expensive set of rune armour obtained in free-to-play worlds, but was at one point succeed by the Rune gold-trimmed armour set (lg) by cost. It is mainly for show as it has the same defence bonuses as regular Rune armour. Some players like to wear matching Fremennik boots, Fremennik gloves, Rune Gloves/Rune Gauntlets, an Amulet of Defence and a Guthix God cape, Team cape or green cape, to make it look slightly better. After the 6 March 2012 armour update, the Guthix armour sets became more popular, hence the increase in price in the Grand Exchange.
