Held Juvinates were juvinates that were bound by the special attack of a Rod of ivandis or Ivandis flail. In order to defeat them, players had to use a dose of a Guthix balance on them. When the potion was used, one of three things could occur: The vampyre died instantly, the vampyre became angry and gained combat levels and life points, or the vampyre turned back into a human and rewarded the player. If you continued to attack the vampyre without using a dose of Guthix balance potion, the held vampyre juvinate would turn into Mist.
After the update of 17 August 2011, all held juvinates turned into Held Vampyre Juvinates.
