Herblore Habitat is the most recent addition for training Herblore, Farming, and Hunter skills. It was released on 24 November 2010. Participating in this minigame requires a minimum of 54 farming, 70 hunter, and 54 herblore. It is highly recommended to have at least 56 construction to avoid spending lots of money. If you do not have the construction levels required to build the habitats, talk to Papa Mambo and select the 'Build' option. You will need to do this each time you change the habitat without the required construction level. It can cost up to 80,000 gp.

  • Note: You can request assistance from players with the required levels. They will not get the xp, but you will be able to build the habitat you need for free.

This game is unique in that it allows a person to train all three skills at the same time and is the only free herblore training in the game aside from dungeoneering.

To get there, you must head for the south-eastern most tip of Karamja. You can purchase a Juju teleport spiritbag from Bettamax in the centre of Taverly for 2000 coins to get there faster, or you can teleport to Shilo Village with the Karamja Gloves 3. From Shilo Village just exit the village and walk a bit to the east near the shore and climb over the vines to get inside.

You must talk to Papa Mambo to get started. Make sure to bring money to purchase supplies.

Areas

There are areas separated into 4 camps by the vines.

South Camp

North Camp

  • Papa Mambo's shop. All the critical supplies you require can be purchased from Papa Mambo
  • Hunting area, flower trapping only.

Middle Camp

There are 5 patches with specified names , providing places to plant seeds for bushes, trees, vines, and herbs. There is also a patch where you can build an Environmental feature. A combination of all these patches will attract different vine creatures giving more variety to making potions, herbs, and even finding more. An additional herb patch can be found on the island to the east.

The correct combinations for attracting god-related jadinkos change weekly. However, all other jadinkos always have the same combinations. Upon catching at least one of each Jadinko (excluding God Jadinkos), Papa Mambo gives you a Witchdoctor top or bottom (Random) and your choice of exp in Farming, Herblore, or Hunter. When you kill all Jadinko's including the God Jadinko's, Papa Mambo will give you the Witchdoctor Mask and your choice of exp in Farming, Herblore, or Hunter

South Camp

  • Tracking and flower trap hunter area
  • Deposit-only bank far south

East Camp

  • Access the hunter area where the God Jadinkos spawn when the correct combination is used by climbing up the root on the east side of the compost bin.

Jadinkos

In the following table you can find the combination to which each Jadinko is most attracted. If the Jadinko has a certain preference for either a flower, habitat, potion, bush or tree type it will be listed; otherwise, the type is irrelevant.

Tracking

Name Picture Hunter level Experience Habitat Flower Required bush Required fruit tree Primary drop Requies Hunter Potion Possible 2nd drop
Shadow jadinko 71 475 Abandoned House Red Vine None None Shadow vine Any type of seed

Camouflaged jadinko 79 600 Standing Stone None Lergberry bush None Striped vine Yes Any type of seed

NOTE: Where a hunter potion is required, it will wear off after a while, causing that Jadinko to vanish. If you wish to carry on hunting it, simply apply another dose of hunter potion to the flower vine. There is no requirement to replant the flower. You will receive a message that your hunter potion is about to run out. If your game tab is set to filter however, you will NOT see this message. (The filter also filters out messages about scentless potion or any of the 'god-potion's about to wear off).

It is recommended to begin with a certain coloured flower, use a Juju hunter potion on it and then cycle through all the available habitat types (this may not be desirable if you do not have the required construction level due to the associated cost). At some point you should get a message telling you that you have 2/3 out of the 4 types for a certain god Jadinko. From here you should experiment with various bushes and fruit trees (banana, orange and apple only) to narrow the possibilities until you have discovered the correct combination for the week. You can then repeat this method until you have all 3 combinations. After all the God combinations are found (random combination for every player) you get a reward of the Witchdoctor Mask. The mask gives unlimited teleports to Herblore Habitat.

  • If you are on the right path for a God Jadinko, you should receive a message "You have found 2 out of the 4 types for (god name)," or "You have found 3 out of the 4 types for (god name)."
  • Upon getting all four correct entries, you will receive a message "You've attracted some (god name) Jadinkos to the nearby island."
  • Empty patches also count as a 'type'

Potions

Potions can be made out of the many items collect while hunting. Each has a unique ability. For more details see Juju potion.

  • All juju potions must be made in special Juju vials obtained from Papa Mambo.
  • Of the various juju potions, only 6 types can be stored with the Tool leprechaun at Herblore Habitat -- and they must be 3-dose vials. They are: Juju hunter potion, Juju farming potion, Scentless potion, Saradomin’s blessing, Guthix’s gift, and Zamorak’s favour. The others can only be stored in your bank.
