Hermes Bimegistus is a prominent scientific philosopher, possibly born in Asgarnia, most well known for his works in the fields of science and natural philosophy. His most well-known work, "The Hooded Arts of Natural Philosophy", is popular amongst scientists, such as the chemist in Rimmington.

- His name is an allusion to Hermes Trismegistus, an Egyptian alchemist.
