• 11 December
  • The music interface has a new font to display how many music tracks have been unlocked.
  • The Grand Exchange, Prifddinas, and trees around Gielinor have been updated with a Christmas theme.
  • A few Grand Exchange clerks and bankers in the Grand Exchange, Tower of Voices, and the Max Guild have been given Santa hats with beards.
  • Many bosses, related monsters, and goebies have various Christmas decorations like Santa hats.
  • Non-functional fountains have been added to the two southern corners of the Grand Exchange.
  • Some items behind the central Grand Exchange booth now have examine texts.
  • Event noticeboards are now displaying the 2017 Christmas event.
• 4 December
  • Free-to-play players can now open Twitch loot crates.
  • The silver and golden warden title can now be obtained at 2000 and 4000% Telos enrage, respectively.
  • A buff icon has been added for the Genocidal perk.
• 1 December
  • Reindeer-terrorbird racing has been added back to the game like during the 2016 Christmas event.

November

• 27 November
  • Dimension of the Damned rewards, including The Damned and King/Queen of the Damned titles, outfit, axe and the pet, have been delivered to qualified players.
  • The golden gnome hat and pet have been given to the winners of the Golden Gnome Awards 2017.
• 20 November
  • The chance of obtaining a small smouldering lamp from event mystery boxes and big event mystery boxes has been reduced.
  • The Apple Jubilee hoppers have been removed.
  • Sparky, the NPC in Ardougne, has been graphically updated.
  • The skybox from Dimension of the Damned can now be selected.
  • The Dimension of the Damned Statue has been added south of Falador.

  • Event noticeboards are displaying the Going Like Clockwork event.
  • The amount of clockwork pieces obtained from snow implings has been reduced from 200 to 20.
• 6 November
  • NovtumberFest was removed.
  • The "Add note" interface for the Friends List has been updated.

• 30 October
  • The model of the change cabin seen when changing titles or receiving a makeover has been graphically updated to resemble poll booths.
  • Halloween decorations have been added to most of the different trees.
  • The strange boy and girl have been added again to Burthorpe and the Tower of Voices, respectively.
  • Event noticeboards are back, referencing the 2017 Hallowe'en event.
• 23 October
  • Arcane capacitor necklaces have been changed to cosmetic, disused variants and all charges have been moved to Borrowed Power.

  • Leather armour and hard leather armour have been graphically updated.
  • There is now an RuneMetric entry about visiting a Clan Citadel.

  • Silvarea is now marked on the world map. The road through it has also been marked as King's Road.
  • Splitbark armour has been graphically updated.
  • A quest overview has been added for The Dig Site.
  • The examine texts of wool, ball of wool, black wool, and ball of black wool have been changed.

  • The stock of Carwen Essencebinder Magical Runes Shop has been updated to include a free air talisman.
• 25 August
  • A number of items have had their Grand Exchange prices adjusted. The Bob shirt mentioned was the purple variant and the mystic boots the dark variant. In addition, the gem sack token was also adjusted.
• 21 August
  • Some of the UI for the Old School layout has been changed a bit; the slayer counter has been moved to the top left corner of the screen, while RuneMetrics lightweight mode has been toggled off.
  • Baby Yaga's House and Gemi skilling pets are obtainable from harps.
• 14 August
  • The border around the chat history in the chat interface has been updated.
  • The spacing between the chat history and chat input boxes has been made smaller in the chat interface.

  • World 134's activity has been changed from Sinkholes to Sinkholes & Shifting Tombs.

  • Aristarchus's Pollnivneach dialogue has been made accessible within the Grand Library of Menaphos.
  • Vultures can now be seen flying in the southern part of Sophanem.
  • Information about the current tier and active skills have been added to the Shifting Tombs interface.
  • Chests within shifting tombs have been given the chance of spawning corrupted scarabs.
  • The two Chronicle Players playing Chronicle: RuneScape Legends have been removed from all the remaining areas.
  • The Sandy title has been added.

  • The Chronicle, Book of legends pet can now be unlocked by entering the Legends' Guild.
  • The interface tab icons for defensive, magic, melee, prayer and ranged abilities, and familiar interface have been updated.
  • The toggle for Familiar interface has been added to the Powers section in the ribbon.
  • The following stores now restock at the midnight reset: Battle Runes, Betty's Magic Emporium, Aubury's Rune Shop and Carwen Essencebinder Magical Runes Shop

  • Rare item tokens have been changed to cash out for 10 coins each on Treasure Hunter instead of the previous value of 0.

  • A wand of treachery cannot be immediately dropped after receiving one. Doing so gives the message "The wand refuses to leave it's new master so quickly!"
  • Event noticeboards are now referencing Aiding the Exile event.
• 12 June
  • Desert pantheon aura's top left corner "Feast of Amascut" has become usable.
  • Havoc's and Smash's maximum ability damage was increased from 125% to 157%.
• 5 June
  • The Motherlode Maw now checks if the player has level 115 Dungeoneering and 95 in all other skills, instead of 2,585 skill total.
  • The Spring Fayre has been removed.
  • The City of the Dead, The Plundered Tomb, Spirits of Elid and Tune from the Dune music tracks have been reworked.
  • The old desert pantheon items have been made available as cosmetic overrides (Aten, Pantheon (Apmeken) Mask, Pantheon (Apmeken) Ankh, Pantheon (Scabaras) Mask, Pantheon (Scabaras) Was, and Uraeus).

  • Prawn balls have had their kept on death value reduced.
• 15 May
  • The Mighty Zoltan has been changed so that the confirmation prompt mentions spending tokens, and the prompt may be toggled off permanently.
  • Partyhats equipped on male characters have had their dark spots removed on NXT.
  • Big event mystery box (Birth by Fire) has been changed to big event mystery box (Gielinorian Giving), for those who still had them in their account.

  • A number of items have had their Grand Exchange prices adjusted.
    • All the Bob shirt variants were updated.
    • The greenman's ale referred to the flatpack variant.
    • The hydrix amulet referred to the strung variant.
    • The mystic gloves referred to the light variant.
    • In addition to the listed items, at least the following items were updated: adamant plateskirt (h1), (h2), (h3), (h4), and (h5), adamant shield (h2), and (h4), black plateskirt (h1), (h2), (h3), (h4), and (h5), black shield (h2), and (h4), and demonic title scroll (rending).
• 8 May
  • The defeating the phoenix requirement of the master quest cape was reset again and upon completing it again will now correctly tick off on the Achievements System interface.
  • The artisan's workshop interface has been shifted to the left in Legacy Mode fixed size.
  • A rusty chest has been added to the game.
  • Event noticeboards are back, and now displaying the Gielinorian Giving event.
• 2 May
  • Ground textures in Burthorpe, Catherby, Lumbridge, Piscatoris, and Taverley have been updated slightly. Lumbridge Swamp has received new textures entirely.
  • Killerwatts have been graphically updated.

  • The Jungle Hunt music track has been reworked.

  • A number of tutorial achievements have been removed.
  • A sundial was added north of Menaphos.

  • The "Get Bond" button on the currency pouch has been removed.

  • Hazelmere's signet ring is released.
  • The Wyrmfire potion buff icon has been changed to match the Antifire icon.
• 20 March
  • Event noticeboards are now referencing Agents of Fury seasonal event.
  • Waiko Reward Shop's "items" tab has been changed to "equipment, "XP lamps" tab has been changed to "Consumables", and items have been moved around accordingly.
• 11 March
  • The rarity of the Nature's sentinel outfit was changed from yellow to orange on Treasure Hunter.
• 6 March
  • Bonds can now be redeemed for an additional Treasure Hunter key for 28 days.

  • Chuck now provides hints related to the Penguin Hide and Seek Shadow Realm penguin randomly amongst other hints.
  • The music tracks Espionage, Have an Ice Day, Ice Day for Penguins and Storm Brew have been reworked, along with the magic carpet ride jingle.
• 15 February
  • Event noticeboards are now displaying artwork relating to the second part of the 2017 Valentine's Day event.
• 6 February
  • The music track Love Story has been reworked.
  • The icons for simple parts and Armadyl, Bandos, Brassican, Saradomin, Zamorak, and Zaros components have been updated.
  • Wizard Deedit has been added to the Lumbridge Crater as a teaser for the upcoming Valentine's event.

• 23 January
  • Raw wobbegong fishing spots on Uncharted Isles no longer have a wobbegong spot near the shores on the Java game client. Instead, the off-shore wobbegong must be clicked on to fish it.
• 16 January
  • Pikkenmix once again has his unique idle animation when Familiarisation is active.
  • Event noticeboards are now displaying Deathbeard's Demise event.
  • Mysterious Runed Rock has been removed from the Agility skill guide.
• 9 January
  • The 15th year anniversary party garden has been relocated to the anniversary island, and the anniversary tree has been added north of Falador.
  • The Piscatoris region has received a ground textures graphical update. It also includes the addition of new trees and the Eagles' Peak rework.
  • Orla Fairweather has been added to Burthorpe.
  • Event noticeboards have returned as a reminder to Memorial to Guthix.
  • The skills guide interface now defaults to show everything rather than "Milestones".

Date unknown

• If the player tries to "Add to" the statue of Rhiannon in Prifddinas without any golden rocks, there will now be a message saying so.
• Obtaining a Hazelmere's signet ring now shows up in the Adventurer's Log.
