Memorial to the Myreque is a miniquest that was released on 11 April 2016 to precede the release of River of Blood. Players can start the event by talking to Veliaf Hurtz north of Canifis. During the event the player builds a monument to the allies that they have lost in the Myreque quest series. Players must build 10 statues for the monument and add an object of remembrance as well as one blisterwood sickle to each statue. Each statue is built out of two 5kg blocks of granite. A new plinth will be added for the player to build a statue for each day that the player logs in and speaks to Veliaf; the plinth is added the day after speaking to Veliaf. The finished statues act as altars which give five extra Prayer points when paid respects at. Completion of Memorial to the Myreque is not currently a requirement for obtaining the master quest cape or the completionist cape (t), however it will become one with the release of River of Blood.
2000 Construction experience is gained from building a statue and 1000 Prayer experience is gained from praying at a completed statue.
Players who complete statues between 12 and 30 April receive an early bird bonus of more than 100,000 experience in total for all the statues, across skills that receive experience rewards from previously released quests in the Myreque series. Player can choose whether to gain combat experience or not when paying respects.
