Jack Frost is an NPC encountered in both the 2008 and 2009 Christmas events. Jack Frost was kicked out of the Land of Snow because he misbehaved. In the 2008 Christmas event, he bombarded the land with snow, but the player saved the day.

In the Christmas Event of 2009, Jack Frost was not seen throughout most of it. He had apparently taken up ice sculpting, and he still shows resentment towards the player.

Jack Frost is 44 years old, but due to Ice sprites' slow rate of aging, he has the mental and physical age of 17.
Although he is first encountered during the 2008 Christmas Event, Jack Frost was already visible on one of the four Christmas cards released by Jagex on 12 December.

Jack Frost is based off a fictional character bearing the same name.

After completing the 2009 Christmas event, if the player talks to Jack and selects an option saying Your father? , Jack will say that Father Christmas is his Father. This could mean that Santa Claus and Father Christmas are the same NPCs.
As learned in the 2009 Christmas event where he makes a small appearance, Jack took up ice sculpting shortly after the previous year's event and quest. Though this could be questioned as when the player half-jokingly and half-seriously asked if he had actually sculpted the lifelike dragon, unicorn, and minotaur statues, he somewhat uncomfortably responded, "Wouldn't you like to know that?" This may hint that, instead of sculpting, he actually froze the creatures. The Frozen Dragon he made looks similar to the Frost Dragon.
His hairstyle seems to be a mixture of the long-swept fringe and the dragon haircuts.
