The Jagex Clan Cup 2016 was a community event which began on 10 October 2016 and ran over a few weeks. It featured clans competing in a variety of different events. Similar to the Jagex Clan Cup 2013, this clan cup was hosted by players, rather than Jagex, due to their busy schedule.
Limitations[]
As the cup was ran by players, there were a number of limitations:
- The PvM Cup consisted of submitting YouTube videos of a clan's best monster kills at the end of each week due to the lack of being able to track the kills that a clan performs over a week.
- Due to not being able to check equipment used and the amount of kills a player gets for PvM competitions, the competitions were mostly solo speed-runs.
- The Skilling Cup was not hosted this year because of difficulty in preventing use of bonus experience and other advantages.
