The Jatizso mine is accessed via a staircase just outside the western gates of Jatizso. The Fremennik Isles quest has to be started in order to enter the mine.
It can be a somewhat dangerous mine, as it is inhabited by male ice trolls (melee) and female ice trolls (ranged) and Ice troll runts in the northern half of the mine. This mine is a place where players can obtain plenty of Mithril and Adamantite ores fairly close to the bank in the city. After completion of the Elite Fremennik Tasks, players can also access Hallvar who can convert ore to notes.
Because there is a furnace in Neitiznot and anvils in Jatizso, this mine can be great for miners and smithers.
Gruva Patrull guards the entrance of the mine.

The main area of the mine contains a large number of various rocks:

Elite area[]
There is a small area towards the south-east of the mine which is only accessible after completing the Elite Fremennik Tasks. This area contains some extra rocks:
The main benefit of gaining access to this area, however, is Hallvar, who can exchange ores for notes. This allows players to continue mining without needing to return to bank their ores.

Trivia[]
- The positions of the northernmost 3 adamantite rocks were relocated in September 2010.
- In the northern half of the mine, an NPC miner frequently spawns, only to find himself quickly killed by trolls. This unfortunate miner, like all others in the southern half who would also be killed if they go too far north, has only 1 life point.
