A Katagon rapier is an item released with the Dungeoneering update. Since it is used in Dungeoneering, it cannot be taken out of Daemonheim. It is a Tier 8 weapon and requires 70 Attack to wield. It requires 73 smithing and 2 Katagon bars to make, costing 70k. This is the fourth best rapier in Daemonheim.
Some people may feel that rapiers are better than other weapons such as 2h swords or mauls due to their speed and ability to dispatch lower levelled monsters off more quickly than a slower weapons. Hence the katagon rapier is a decent item to bind if you cannot find yourself or wield a better one.
