Leaks was significantly altered after an update. This article is retained to provide information on past elements of RuneScape.

Leaks are information about future updates planned for RuneScape that are accidentally posted in-game, on the RuneScape website or any other RuneScape affiliated site, that disclose information about an update that has not yet been officially released. Information from Behind the Scenes videos/posts and Facebook, forum, and twitter posts are not classified as leaks. Due to changes in the way that Jagex release information about future content, leaks have mostly been replaced by officially released information which is documented on the upcoming updates article.

13 January 2012

RuneScape's Facebook & Twitter accounts.

A Fire cape with Bloom lighting effects was shown in the update teasers for Hati & Sköll, but wasn't released along with the wolves. It was suspected that the bloom effects for the Fire cape would be released with the update which would graphically overhaul the TzHaar, but this didn't happen. More pictures of a fire cape with bloom effects were released with the Dominion Tower update pictures, therefore it was again suspected that it would be released with Dominion Tower update, which also didn't happen.

27 December 2012	In-Game	An Aura slot within the customisation screen, possibly showing new purchasable auras that have yet to be released. Interestingly, when clicked on it vanishes. It has now been fully removed from the interface. 28 June 2010	The Jagex Channel YouTube Channel	A map from a Behind the Scenes video appears to show a new map displayed on the wall next to a computer. The style of the map resembles a RuneScape world map. The locations are labelled, however they are illegible. It resembles the eastern half of the current continent. It is clearly seen that on the right side there is a desert, with a small island to the east of the continent, and a much larger island north of it.		It was later revealed to be a map made for Jagex's game Stellar Dawn. [1]

April 2010	Icould.com article	In the top right corner, there is a whiteboard that contains a list of then unreleased content. However, only the first letters are visible. 24 July 2009	RuneScape website	The Portuguese Game Guide contained a screenshot of an unreleased summoning interface which contained a claw icon in addition to a signpost icon in the toolbar where the summoning icon used to be. 2008	In-game	Before the Rocking Out quest came out, when a player would reach Thieving level 63, the level up screen would display a message that said "You now have the Thieving level to steal from the Customs evidence files of Rock Island Prison (after Rocking Out)".		Rocking Out
4 July 2006	RuneScape website	Prior to 2006, some areas were not featured on the world map despite being accessible ingame, including Dragontooth Island and the west coast of Tirannwn. When these were finally revealed, a very large area of land also became visible across the ocean west of Tirannwn. It appeared very pixelated and unrefined. It was removed shortly afterwards. It is unknown what purpose it served, if any, although some speculate it was used to test the POH features before release.		N/A
31 May 2006	Hiscores	Following its release, Construction was assigned URL slot 23 on the hiscores. Runecrafting, the skill immediately above Construction, used slot number 21.
