Leather (also known as soft leather to distinguish it from hard leather) is used in the Crafting skill to make leather armour and other leather items. It can be created by giving a cowhide to a tanner, or by using the Make Leather spell at level 83 Magic. Tanners can be found in Al Kharid, the Ranging Guild, Varrock, Taverley, Canifis, Prifddinas and the Crafting Guild. Buying cowhides and tanning them into leather via a tanner gives a profit of 125 per cowhide.
Two pieces of leather are required during Pieces of Hate.
