Limestone detail

Limestone is a stone which is used in several skills, (e.g., Mining, Crafting, Divination and Construction) as well as quests. It can be mined or purchased from building stores.

It is required in the Regicide quest to make quicklime to make a barrel bomb, and can be used in Divination to create various signs of respite.

Mining

It can be mined by a player with a Mining level of 10, and gives 26.5 Mining experience when mined.

There are only two locations at which it can be mined:

When smelting the limestone the text "I see no reason to do this." will appear in the chat window, but it used to inflict 80 points of damage.

Mining limestone in the quarry near the Paterdomus is one of the easy Varrock Tasks.

Crafting

Limestone can be crafted into limestone bricks at crafting level 12 (gives 6 Crafting experience) when used with a chisel, although it may accidentally become a rock. (The chance of failure drops with Crafting level, and at level 40+ it is impossible to fail.)

You can now chisel limestone in larger quantities without repetitive clicking as of 9 November 2009.

Building the Temple of Mort'ton in the Shades of Mort'ton minigame gives 5 Crafting experience for each brick laid.

Construction

Limestones are also used in Construction.

It is a material used for building limestone fireplaces in the Parlour andDining Room, Limestone attack stones in Games Room, stairs in both Quest and Skill halls and imp statues in the Garden.

Limestone can also be purchased from Razmire Keelgan's builders store in Mort'ton for 10 coins. Limestone bricks are sold both in Mort'ton and by the Keldagrim Stonemason for 21 coins.

You get 20 xp per limestone used when building something. Template:WP also
