Living on Borrowed Time is an emote unlocked after the 2011 Hallowe'en event. This emote will automatically be performed facing north.
Four free squares in the north direction and one free square in the south direction is required to perform this emote. Otherwise the message "There's not enough room to perform this emote here" is displayed.
The length of the emote, including the text "Phew! Close call." is approximately 13 seconds, making it the longest holiday emote to date.
There is currently a glitch where after the emote is complete, you can see through your player in the places where the tip of the scythe overlapped your player.

Trivia
- Upon its release, this emote allowed for a player to stall actions occuring to his/her character due to the long duration of this emote. For example, some players could be tricked into showing off this emote in the wilderness, which would make them vunerable to being attack while the emote is going. The stall would make the player not take damage until the end of the emote, causing a potentially lethal pile up of hits which is hard to avoid, since equipment changes, eating, and switching prayers (among other actions) aren't possible until the end of the emote.
