Locust riders are encountered during the Contact!quest, inside the Scabaras Maze. The green versions attack using somewhat slow Ranged attacks. The brown versions however, are much more dangerous and attack with accurate melee attacks that can hit for over 700 damage. Remember that you need to bring a light source when you are in the dungeon.
Locust Riders are scattered mercifully thin throughout the dungeon. If a player takes the right path, it's doubtful he or she will even encounter one. Still, should a player encounter them, he or she should remember that they commonly hit over 300, so Protection Prayers and good food are of the utmost importance, especially if multiple riders are encountered.
The Keris Dagger special effect works against Locust Riders.
Though not directly assigned, Locust Riders may be slain as part of a Scabarite assignment. These monsters respawn at an extremely fast rate, so it may be ideal to stay in one spot.
