Lord Shadwell was a Kinshra Lord who reigned for an unknown duration of time, until ultimately meeting his death in Year 163 of the Fifth Age. His reign was known for its brutality, although a political standstill allowed Shadwell to legally remain within Asgarnia.
Shadwell was the leader of the Kinshra for many years, using them in his Zamorakian extremist plans to gain supremecy in Asgarnia. He eventually allied himself with Solus Dellagar, the infamous "murder-mage" that aided Lucien in an assault on Varrock.
Solus, whilst on an unknown operation with the Kinshra in the then-unincorperated town of Edgeville, began a massive massacre of civilians. Shadwell, although he seems to have been a supporter of the massacre, eventually tried to stop Solus. Solus killed him, alongside many Kinshra, White Knights, Temple Knights, and civilians, using Ancient Magicks.
Details regarding what happened after Shadwell's death are revealed in the first RuneScape novel, Betrayal at Falador. Shadwell's successor was hugely unsuccessful, failing both military and politically in resolving the White Knight conflicts. His successor was assassinated roughly a year after his inauguration, only to be replaced with one of Shadwell's former commanders, Lord Sulla. Sulla was forced to flee the Kinshra less than a month later after failing to win the War of 164. Sulla was then replaced with Lord Daquarius, an extremely popular officer.
