Requirements	Skill requirements are not boostable unless marked with a [B] for boostable. 31 Crafting 36 Woodcutting Ability to kill a level 63 tree spirit with almost no armour and weapons.
Items required	Items from the tool belt are not listed unless they do not work or are not automatically added. None
Recommended	Teleport runes For mages: Fire and air runes, and supplies for crafting a wand as the tree spirit is weak to fire spells. For rangers: Unstrung bow, bowstring, arrows -OR- dart tips and feathers (you're able to bring arrows). Prayer potions, super set, and food for the tree spirit fight for lower leveled players.

Getting started

• Talk to the warrior in Lumbridge swamp to start the quest. ( 1•1•1•2)…

  1	Why are you camped out here?
  1	Who's Zanaris?
  1	If it's hidden, how are you planning to find it?
  2	Looks like you don't know either.

• Attempt to chop the tree directly east of the campsite.
• Talk to Shamus. ( 2•1)…

  2	I've been in that shed and I didn't see a city.
  1	Yes, please, a teleport would be useful.

  Bring batwing and thread for a batwing wand.

Entrana

A safespot to fight the tree spirit from

• Travel to Entrana.
  • (Combat ingredients recommended, see the "Recommended" section of the Items required in the table above).
• Run to the north of Entrana, then west to the dungeon entrance ladder.
• Enter the dungeon. ( 2)…

  2	Well, that is a risk I will have to take.

  • Craft your weapons now if you brought supplies.
  • If you are not in Ironman Mode, you are allowed to bring portable forges to smith (get a high level friend/player to assist if possible).
• Run to the southern-most part of the dungeon.
• Chop the tree.
• Kill the spirit.
• Chop the tree again.
• Craft the branch (use the knife, not the pestle and mortar).
  • Note: If you have not completed the Recipe for Disaster quest yet, you may want to get a second branch, craft it with the pestle and mortar, and keep the cinnamon for the quest. This will save you from making another trip to Entrana.
• Enter the door to the east.

Zanaris

• Wield your Dramen staff.
• Enter the shed in Lumbridge swamp (north-east of the quest start).
• Quest complete!

Rewards

• 3 quest points
• Access to Zanaris
• Ability to wield dragon longswords and dragon daggers
• Ability to make cosmic runes with the Runecrafting skill
• Ability to use Chaeldar as slayer master (requires level 75 combat)
• 2 Treasure Hunter keys and 2 Hearts of Ice
