Getting started
- Talk to the warrior in Lumbridge swamp to start the quest.
- Attempt to chop the tree directly east of the campsite.
- Talk to Shamus. Bring batwing and thread for a batwing wand.
Entrana
- Travel to Entrana.
- (Combat ingredients recommended, see the "Recommended" section of the Items required in the table above).
- Run to the north of Entrana, then west to the dungeon entrance ladder.
- Enter the dungeon.
- Craft your weapons now if you brought supplies.
- If you are not in Ironman Mode, you are allowed to bring portable forges to smith (get a high level friend/player to assist if possible).
- Run to the southern-most part of the dungeon.
- Chop the tree.
- Kill the spirit.
- Chop the tree again.
- Craft the branch (use the knife, not the pestle and mortar).
- Note: If you have not completed the Recipe for Disaster quest yet, you may want to get a second branch, craft it with the pestle and mortar, and keep the cinnamon for the quest. This will save you from making another trip to Entrana.
- Enter the door to the east.
Zanaris
- Wield your Dramen staff.
- Enter the shed in Lumbridge swamp (north-east of the quest start).
- Quest complete!
