The Lumber Yard is a member's only location east of Varrock. The main feature of it is the sawmill operator. He can turn logs into planks for a fee, and also sells bolts of cloth, three kinds of nails, and saws.
The Lumber Yard was home to one the answers to the clue scrolls. Players would be shown a map and had to climb a stile to the east of the saw-miller's hut. However due to a new secret update the fence around the perimeter of the yard has been replaced with a wall. Players must now go west of the hut and follow the wall north until they see a hole in the wall.
The Lumber Yard also plays a critical role in the quest Gertrude's Cat. Fluffs and her kittens can be found inside the Lumber Yard. Fluffs is found on the second floor of the Lumber Yard and her kittens are found in a barrel.
