Magic golem outfit equipped

A male player wearing the magic golem outfit

The Magic golem outfit is a Mining outfit acquired via combining the other three golem outfits, which were won via Treasure Hunter, and later purchased from Vic the trader.

From 19 June 2014 0:00 UTC to 23 June 2014 23:59 UTC, it was possible to obtain the pieces of the sapphire, emerald and ruby golem outfits, which could be combined to make the magic golem outfit. On 29 September the outfit pieces were made available once more from Vic's Store in Burthorpe for 500 credits each, for a total of 7,500 credits. The outfit parts were re-added to Treasure Hunter permanently on 20 August 2015. Once combined, it is impossible to disassemble the combined piece. However, each piece of the magic golem outfit can be recoloured to sapphire, emerald, ruby, and magic.

Equipping all pieces of the outfit increase the chance of mining ore and rocks by 7%, and removes aggression from living rock creatures. This chance increases when used in conjunction with quarrymaster auras.

If the player has parts of the Golden mining suit, they will get the additional bonus experience when mining (even while the set is in the bank or player-owned house). As well, players who have any version of the Varrock armour will get the chance of mining double ores up to the respective version unlocked.

Trivia

  • Before a patch on 1 July 2014, there was a bug where the passive effect would stop working upon first logging in with the set equipped. Re-equipping a piece would fix it.
