Marigolds are flowers that can be planted in a flower patch at level 2 Farming using marigold seeds. Growing marigolds requires a weeded plot, a marigold seed, and a seed dibber.
Marigolds take 17.5 minutes to grow. They are a great way to make an early profit from Farming, as they have a low level requirement, the seeds are cheap, they grow relatively quickly, and they sell high.
Planting marigolds in a Farming flower plot will protect potato, onion, and tomato allotments from disease.
Marigolds are also used as a tertiary component for the bull ant pouch in the Summoning skill, as the protection payment for growing hammerstone hops, and as an ingredient of the delicious honeycomb at the player-owned farm.
