Melee dummies were able to be found in the building north of the Lumbridge general store, where the combat instructors were. A player could only use melee attacks on them, and they would only receive 0.1 experience on a melee skill for every 10 damage they dealt. This was one of the few methods that free players could gain melee experience without gaining Constitution experience.
Attack dummies had seemingly 150 life points, though players could never hit over 149. These dummies restored their life points to full after each attack.
