When activated, the player damages all targets in a 3x3 area around their square for 250-350% weapon damage and gains 10% adrenaline for each critical hit they perform in the next 30 seconds, which is indicated by a icon. Any critical hits of Meteor Strike itself count for adrenaline gain. Halberds increase the range of this ability to 5x5 squares.
Meteor Strike's adrenaline buff is not melee-specific. Ranged and magic critical hits also generate 10% adrenaline if the player switches to weapons of those styles. Using Incendiary Shot and Tsunami refreshes the buff's 30 second timer.
Meteor Strike is often preferred to Overpower; while both ultimates deal the same average damage (300%), Meteor Strike deals area of effect damage and provides a buff to adrenaline. However, Meteor Strike requires a two-handed weapon to utilise.
- Meteor Strike causes the screen to shake, a feature it shares with Quake and Pulverise.
- Meteor Strike originally required the target to have over 50% of their maximum life points remaining, a restriction removed in the 13 July 2015 patch notes.
