The mind talisman is one of the items that allows player to enter the mind altar located between the Ice Mountain and Goblin Village. It can be combined with a tiara to make a mind tiara for 27.5 Runecrafting experience at the mind altar by using the tiara on the altar. This will make the talisman disappear, but the tiara can be used in just the same way as a talisman and worn in the head slot. Both the tiara and the talisman allow players to access the mind altar.
Mind talismans can be obtained as drops from imps, wizards, dark wizards, and level 22 skeletons in the Lumbridge Catacombs, obtained from the Runecrafting Guild for 50 tokens or obtained by looting an essence impling using the Hunter skill. Apprentice Clara in Burthorpe also has a free mind talisman in her shop's stock.
The mind talisman can be used on the wicked hood, giving the hood two free teleports to the mind altar, and 100 free mind runes every day. This will consume the talisman, however.
