You can make money by splitting the 2 kilogram pieces into four 500 gram pieces, for a profit of 1,167 each. Buy some Granite (2kg) on the Grand Exchange (they are sometimes difficult to purchase), and withdraw 24 or 25 of them at a time. Place a 500 gram piece on the action bar with a keybind, where "Drop" is the default option when pressing the associated key. Craft the 24 (or 25) granite into 96 (or 100) 500 gram pieces. Activate area loot. Finally, set up a bank preset with 24 2-kilogram pieces.

Here is the pattern for each inventory. Withdraw 24 2-kilogram pieces. Initially, spam-press the associated key to drop the 500 gram pieces to quickly make room. After you have crafted about four of the 2 kilogram pieces, you can then hold down the key rather than spam-press it. You cannot hold down the key for the entire duration because on most operating systems, holding down the key has an approximately 2-second delay before it registers as spam-pressing. Thus, holding down the key will not free inventory space quickly enough, and this will stop your crafting. Stop dropping 500 gram pieces when you have about six 2 kilogram pieces left, so that when you are done crafting, you huave 24 500-gram pieces in your inventory. Open your bank and press "3" to deposit all. Press "Esc" to quickly exit the bank. Click the pile of granite which you have made. With area loot, you should be able to press "Space" to quickly pick up 28 500-gram pieces. Repeat until you have banked all 96 500-gram pieces.

Each inventory takes about 48 seconds, so cutting around 3000 pieces of granite per hour can be expected.
