A Mystic lava staff is the most powerful lava elemental staff. It requires level 50 Attack and level 50 Magic to wield. It provides an unlimited amount of earth and fire runes. To create one, a player must take a lava battlestaff to Thormac after completing the Scorpion Catcher quest, along with 40,000 coins, or 27,000 coins after completing the Seers' Village Hard tasks.
Assuming the Seers' Village Hard tasks have been completed, each lava battlestaff upgraded into a mystic lava staff would yield a profit of 12061 coins.
With 85 Crafting, players may attach a shade skull to the Mystic lava staff, creating a Necromancer's lava staff. Prior to the Evolution of Combat update on the 20 November 2012, the Mystic lava staff was visually identical to the lava battlestaff.
