Nature esshounds, also known as nature dogs, are common creatures only found in the 2nd and 3th floor of Runespan. They can be siphoned for nature runes. They give 43.33 xp for every Nature rune crafted. The level requirement for Nature Esshounds is 44 Runecrafting.
Nature esshounds can also be "chipped" for rune essence. By using 10 chaos runes on the esshound, you will receive 10-20 rune essence. However, the same esshound cannot be chipped twice in a row; you can't chip the same creature until you have chipped three other Runespan creatures of any type.
Upon draining the esshound, the player will receive 50 rune essence. However, if the player stopped siphoning before the esshound was drained, they will not receive any essence.
