Nightmare muspah chathead

Nightmare muspah are level 81 Summoning familiars. They are primarily used as an assistance familiar with the Divination skill. They are classified as a beast of burden and will store divine energies and divine memories only, in a similar fashion to the abyssal familiars. The muspah will fill and empty its inventory as the player divines and deposits memories. It will also give a small 3% passive boost towards finding enriched memories and grants a small chance to obtain 10 extra energy while harvesting. If this happens a yellow text will appear saying "The nightmare muspah draws forth more energy from the spring." The muspah has a maximum capacity of 32 spaces. If the familiar's timer runs out while carrying memories, the memories will be automatically destroyed.

When harvesting memories, the familiar's inventory is filled first, and then the player's.

The depositing of memories works as such when using the 'Convert to enhanced experience' option:

  1. Deposits all enriched memories from the familiar
  2. Deposits all enriched memories from the inventory
  3. Deposits all normal memories from the familiar
  4. Deposits all normal memories from the inventory

When using the 'Convert to experience' option, normal memories are deposited first from the familiar and inventory, and enriched afterwards. This way, regardless of the option chosen, the muspah saves energy from being used for less experience.

Still, one can manually deposit memories from the inventory into the familiar with the "store" option, equal to any beast of burden.

To create a nightmare muspah, players will require the use of a muspah spine, an elder charm, and a normal empty pouch, but instead of using spirit shards, the pouch needs 150 Elder energy.

As part of the Power to the Players system, this familiar was put against three other divination familiars where it emerged victorious garnering 40% of the votes.

A Nightmare muspah pouch is made by using a Summoning pouch on a Summoning obelisk with 150 elder energy, an elder charm and a muspah spine in the inventory.

Siphon self scroll

Siphon self scroll enables the use of the Siphon self special move for a nightmare muspah. Using the pouch on a Summoning obelisk creates 10 scrolls.

Siphon self

Siphon self is the special move for the nightmare muspah. Using the scroll creates divine energy which the player has the required Divination level to harvest. These can be withdrawn from the familiar. Using this special move also has an approximate 7% chance of generating one, and rarely two, divination products the player is capable of making.

Trivia

  • The Nightmare muspah appears to be a fusion of the three muspah found in the Cradle.
  • The Nightmare muspah, along with the Pack mammoth, have the largest inventories of any familiar, although the muspah's is restricted to divine memories and energy.
